Description
The appeal of architecture is evident in Koren’s work. His command of perspective in representing space is as instinctive as the anatomical confidence of his figural constructions. Architectural styles are part of his visual vocabulary, and he has made buildings the protagonists of his cartoons. Concern with their status and their fate inspires Koren the social critic to give them voice, and to animate the great historic monuments with his creatures.
