Poster and full-page advertisement that appeared in the Boston Phoenix in the 1980s. The radio station was hindered in its pursuit of a larger audience because of its low power, poor transmission and directional signal as governed by the FCC. Whenever the WFNX engineer staff could manipulate the mechanics of the broadcasting capabilities, the improvement was marketed to the potential Boston listeners.
