Description
This mask is named ga'agesgotgemk—meaning “broken in two” by “the rays of the sun, or “the sun shines on it and its heat breaks it”. In the dance associated with this mask, the performer continuously opened and closed the mask. The song and dance belong to the clan or house of tlengwax of Kitwanga.
