Gustav Klimt and Emilie Floge in the garden of the Villa Oleander on the Attersee

Description

Heinrich Bohler came from a wealthy industrialist family and had an interest in art, studying under Egon Schiele. Bohler also took up photo- graphy, and made a number of portraits of Klimt, Floge, and others on the Attersee in the summer of 1909. In this example and other pictures, Bohler captures the playful intimacy shared by Klimt and Floge.
