Description
This double sketch was made in preparation for the second oil portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer, completed in 1912. In this work, Adele is more formally dressed and wears an oversize hat. the jeweled-palette points to Klimts familiarity with the work of the Fauves, such as Henry Matisse.
