GALLOP

Claire Eder

GALLOP

Description

A site-specific projection, Claire Eder’s installation is inspired by her sustained interest in the movement of animals and Fenway Park’s history. A series of illustrated, hand-painted horses will be projected onto screens positioned in front of a group of windows that look over the Massachusetts turnpike where passing cars are visible. They will move in sync, and their bodies luminescent, their muscles churning. This projection will occur in the lower level of the garage, which was originally a horse stable where visitors to Fenway Park could “park” 100 years ago.
